Janikah Newchurch is a proud Aboriginal woman from Narungga Country on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. She currently serves as the Team Leader of Human Resources at InComPro Aboriginal Association, where she is committed to strengthening culturally safe workplaces and supporting Aboriginal employees to thrive.
Janikah began her journey with InComPro eight years ago while still in school, working after hours as a Reception and Administration Assistant. Through dedication, strong work ethic, and a passion for helping community, she steadily progressed through a number of roles across the organisation. She moved into the youth sector providing administrative support, before transitioning into program work supporting clients through the NDIS. Her experience then expanded into training and recruitment, which led her into a Human Resources Officer role.
After three years of demonstrating leadership, commitment, and a deep understanding of both community and workforce needs, Janikah stepped into her current role as Human Resources Manager/Team Leader. In this position, she focuses on workforce development, recruitment, and creating culturally supportive environments for Aboriginal staff.
Janikah is known for being driven, independent, and highly motivated. She works well within teams and is passionate about empowering Aboriginal people in the workplace, ensuring culture, community, and professional growth remain at the centre of her work.
